uh... it could also mean more and more people will start posting here... just cause it's back up doesn't mean the other serious issues have been solved or even addressed.  I'm over it though.... so whateva.

It's a mistake to think of this place as a rival to DF. DC has to develop it's own identity and uniqueness.

This is a splinter board, though. Telling people that this isn't DF either will hurt the board or just be completely ignored. Until the ratio of DF users/ex-DF users to DC-only users is a bit more even there will continue to be lots of talk about DF. And it's not that bad, so long as not every post is about it.

Just make sure that no one starts to think of this as the place that you go to when you want to flame DF. There are several other places for that.

This is very true.  My thing is that I don't want people to be all "DF this and DF that" all the time.  Espically if it's DF bashing, we're over all that now and it's time to make this our focus.  As far as most of our users comming from DF, yeah, that is the case.  But, that's mainly because that's where our "group" was formed and until we get our real site running we don't want to waste time running around the internet with links and such.  As soon as we are settled FD and I will for sure bring in lots of newbies.  Then we'll have a nice big newbie-q.
