I take responsibility for Killing DF

noone really knows what happend... so let me break it down.


I had been banned recently on DF for nothing really, because Redmeat sucks ass.


To **** Garg off for being a pussy i decided to hit DFs traffic...


Phase 1:


I wrote letters under the guise of an old woman to Garg at his netbox account... complaining that i was going to send warning to the FBI for child porn and exposure of indecent material to minors. Which is actually what he intedned to do. I remember hearing from my inside the Lair sources how garg wanted to make it so anyone logged in as a guest even minors could see naked pictures and all that... indeed it was possible.


So i sent these letters pertaining to that. Garg freaked and made it so that only 18 + registered members could  see it.. no more guests, traffic to the site almost cut in half over night, leaving no more more "guests" and only regular users.


I was going to start going after ****s like JP and get him banned by posting all his numerous flames what with the ban happy mods, but then Heathen hit me up and told me him ad fr0g were going to flame themsleves up then get themselves banned one night...


I being around os often know a good chance when i see it... so


Phase 2: enlisted many others to Flame or complain and leave. Who did i get? Shy shy, Antihero, Patryn(sorta) etc etc to make waves... many og us were banned others left...


Years spent on the site i could forsee what would happen next.. a wave of "im leavings" like dominoes.


Boy was i right... after the staple forum goers left, many medium level posters left.


I dont think I could have timed it more perfect because  at the same time SIre was DOS hammering the site I didnt actually have anything to do with that but i guess he saw what we were doing and acted of his own will...


 


the outcome?


An empty Darkforum, then a "server changing" darkforum to an empty darkforum again to a "sql" error darkforum... where they are now...


When they DO get the site off the ground and running agaain check it out, but dont post.. ill bet you 100 bucks that 99% of the **** being posted will be discussion about what happend to the site, and almost ALL of it will be from Mods and NOT users anymore... DF finnally devolved into what its been becomming... an exclusive Mod only community... good riddence..

i'm so sorry i didn't live up to the flaming potential. i decided to help in a new alternative instead. the old creation vs destruction bit.

I thought the flaming was humorous, and 90% of it was flat out truth...  (shy hun, you might have streched it a bit... lol, it was still funny though.)  I read every damn post made that night... every post.

Well, I wouldn't readily say "good riddance" but I think a lot of us could see it happening months in advance. It's a darn shame, I really liked DF an awful lot when I first hung out there, it's too bad it went in the ****ter the way it did. Oh well.

on Df?  no, it's not gone... but un-reg'ed guests can't view them.  If you are signed in and over 18 you should be fine.
