director christopher nolan (memento/insomnia) is gonna have the hard task of erasing all the garbage that joel "scumbag" shumacher left behind.
casting is as follows:
christian bale as wayne/batman.
katie holmes as a childhood friend of wayne's (love interest).
tom wilkinson as falcone, one of the leading crime figures in gotham city.
rutger hauer as earle, a business contemporary of bruce wayne's murdered father who has designs on the wayne corporate empire.
michael caine as wayne's trusted butler, alfred.
liam neeson as wayne's mentor, henri ducard.
morgan freeman as lucius fox, a former board member and sidelined employee of wayne enterprises.
gary oldman as lt. james gordon.
ken watanabe as the villainous ra's al ghul.
if done right, this could well be the ultimate batman flick, and with the added factor that it's the first in a planned trilogy... major ass kicking all round is all i can say.
sounds bad ass. Pretty much anything would be better than the other lame flicks.

disturbed. I mean, we're all disturbed. And if we're not, why not? Doesn't this

not do something crazy? It makes a helluva lot more sense than blowing your
fucking brains out. -Mark Hunter
no doubt... as much as i love shumacher for giving us the supreme kingdom of badass 'the lost boys', he near enough killed the whole batman franchise. this should put things back on track, christian bale is perfect for the role.
